Group C- McChesney

Journalism has changed a lot over the past decades, and McChesney's chapters informed us on just that. With societal changes, journalism changes along with it. Like Tyler mentioned, the way we receive our information has changed because the way that technology has evolved and become more advanced. We've read in the last decade about the decline of newspapers and how online newspapers are becoming more used.

I grew up with newspapers, every morning I'd read the comics and share them with my sister. It was tradition, but as we got older, the comics soon became less and less a prevalent part of the newspaper. They were reduced from one page to two, from color to black and white, and newer, more relatable comics pushed out the old. We also see this in how we are reading our news. I now read headlines on an app on my phone, not that I really ever spent time reading an entire newspaper, but the idea of it stays the same. My parents still read the newspaper, cover to cover, and though they may be behind by a few days sometimes, they are some of the most educated people I know when it comes to the world. I believe newspapers still have a lot to offer, and with people preferring paper to online still; I think they'll be around for a while.

Personally, I find most of my information by googling random things that interest me; because I constantly have to know exactly what is going on, and if I dont have the answer immediately, it bothers me. Which I think is a real issue in this day and age; we're so obsessed with knowing that it detracts from the natural way in which we learn things.
How do you all prefer to learn?
